Job Summary

This role involves high-level bioinformatics and data engineering focused on pediatric oncology research, specifically within the Translational Drug Response and Genomics Profiling Project at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) and the Hopp Children's Cancer Center Heidelberg (KiTZ). The professional will develop, optimize, and standardize computational pipelines for multi-omics data (genomics, transcriptomics, epigenomics) and large-scale drug screening assays. Key tasks include integrating complex pharmacologic and genomic datasets, automating data quality control, and generating user-friendly data visualization applications and dashboards. The position requires expertise in Linux/Unix, Python, R, and Bash scripting, along with a strong background in bioinformatics workflows and multi-omics integration. This is an attractive opportunity to contribute directly to clinically translatable discoveries aimed at improving diagnosis and treatment outcomes for childhood cancer.
