Job Summary
This role is for an IT Engineer within the steelworks division of Salzgitter Flachstahl GmbH, focusing on process automation and contributing significantly to the SALCOS transformation towards green steel production. The engineer will be responsible for developing and managing projects in process automation, gathering and analyzing IT requirements for production, quality, and automation technology, and designing system concepts for process computer systems. A key aspect involves the new and continued development of software for process models, AI, visualization, and internal applications (documentation, simulations). The ideal candidate possesses a degree in Computer Science or a comparable field, strong knowledge of concept and software design, and experience with process models and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). Experience
- Professional experience in concept design, software design, and software development
- In-depth knowledge of process models and process control computers (MES)
- Desirable experience in Deep Learning
