Job Summary

As an Incident Management Specialist at Salzgitter Flachstahl GmbH, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the safety management system in accordance with the Major Accidents Ordinance (Störfall-Verordnung). Your day-to-day activities involve creating alarm and hazard prevention plans, conducting incident drills, and ensuring safety compliance in large-scale technical projects. You will act as a key liaison for regulatory authorities, manage safety reports for upper-tier establishments, and oversee technical safety assessments such as HAZOP and TRAS. This role is highly collaborative, requiring close coordination with the fire department, occupational safety teams, and the crisis management committee. This position is particularly attractive as it offers a clear career path toward becoming the Head of Incident Management, allowing you to play a pivotal role in the company's transition to green steel production (SALCOS).
