This role involves active participation in the PANDA project at the University Library of TU Braunschweig, focusing on developing and integrating data management solutions for publication costs. The staff member will be responsible for expanding the PANTER database, selecting appropriate metadata schemas for transfer to the CODA system, and implementing solutions for budget control within the CODA web application using Python (Django). Key tasks include documenting development, transferring information between systems, and promoting project results through workshops and support for other institutions. The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in Computer Science or Information Science and possesses strong skills in agile software development, web application programming (Python/Django), and data processing workflows, including familiarity with AI-based methods. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced professionals and entry-level candidates to contribute to innovative research data management in a university setting.

Required Skills

Education

Scientific University Degree (Master, Diploma, or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Science, Applied Computer Science, or related fields with proven IT knowledge

Experience

  • Professional experience in agile software development and Open Source development
  • Experience in programming web applications using Python (Django or similar) and/or R, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and relational databases
  • Experience in AI-based data processing workflows
  • Suitable for entry-level professionals
