Job Summary
This role involves specialized technical work within the Naval Arsenal in Wilhelmshaven, focusing on the maintenance and integration of sensor and antenna systems on German Navy units. Day-to-day tasks include performing the technical reintegration of systems into the command structure following maintenance, participating in functional verification during warship system integration, and managing logistics documentation (bookings, technical documentation, material procurement, movement, and disposal) within the SASPF/SAP logistics system. The ideal candidate must have a completed professional technical education (e.g., Electronics, Mechatronics, or IT/Telecommunications Systems Electronics) and possess specific experience in maintaining shipboard antenna systems and using SAP for material management. This is a full-time, permanent civil servant position (A7 to A8 pay grade) offering a secure economic environment, flexible working hours, and the option for home office, though regular business travel is required.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as an Information and Telecommunications Systems Electronic Technician, Electronics Technician for Information and System Technology, Electronics Technician for Devices and Systems, Systems Informatics Specialist, Mechatronics Specialist, Industrial Mechanic, or comparable qualification.
Experience
- At least two years of experience in the maintenance of antenna systems on ships, boats, and land facilities of the German Navy
- At least two years of experience in material management using SAP
- Experience with the structure of antenna systems (LW08, SMART-S, SMART-L, TRS-3D/16, TRS-3D/NR, TRS-4D/ROT, Variant)
- Experience as an office clerk in naval maintenance (desired)
- Experience in creating operating instructions (desired)
- Experience in work safety for electrical and mechanical work (desired)

- Must be a German citizen (Article 116, Paragraph 1 Basic Law); Must possess or be willing to acquire Seagoing Fitness for Other Ship Service (STCW 95); Must possess or be willing to acquire Class B driving license and German Armed Forces Class B driving license; Must agree to an expanded security clearance (Level Ü2 required); Must not have completed the 50th year of life at the time of appointment (for civil servant status); Willingness to undertake regular business travel and potentially lecturing activities.
