Job Summary
As a Master Electrician at the Naval Command Support Center in Glücksburg, you will be responsible for the continuous operation and maintenance of technical systems within a naval headquarters bunker. Your daily duties include monitoring building management systems, assessing operational states, and leading measures to resolve malfunctions. You will perform both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, document activities in operational logs, and provide technical advice to section heads. Additionally, you will exercise supervisory authority over assigned shift personnel. This role is unique for its critical infrastructure environment and offers the stability of German civil service (Beamte) status or public service employment. The position involves a 24-hour rotating shift system and requires high-level technical oversight of complex electrical systems, including high-voltage equipment and automated building controls, ensuring the functional capacity of a secure military installation.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as an Electronics Technician for Energy/Systems or similar; plus a Master Craftsman (Meister) certificate or State-Certified Technician qualification in Electrical Engineering or Power Engineering; VDI 6022 (Hygiene B) and VDI/DVGW 6023 (Category A) certifications.
Experience
- Professional experience as a Master Craftsman or State-Certified Technician in Electrical Engineering
- Experience in the operation and maintenance of HVAC and KNX lighting systems
- Experience with diesel-powered emergency power systems and well technology
- Leadership experience in supervising shift personnel
- Experience in building management systems and technical documentation

- German citizenship required (Art. 116 GG); Mandatory Ü2 security clearance; Must pass medical fitness exam; Switching authorization for electrical systems up to 20 kV; Willingness to work 24-hour rotating shifts; Age limit of 50 for civil service status (not applicable for regular employment).
