Job Summary

The GSI Helmholtz Centre for Heavy Ion Research in Darmstadt is seeking a dedicated Research Data Management Officer to join their team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in advancing the center's research data management processes, collaborating closely with scientific, technical, and IT departments. A key part of your day-to-day will involve securing third-party funding for data management projects, contributing to NFDI initiatives, and developing a robust research data repository. You will also be responsible for conceptualizing and maintaining metadata systems, enhancing data management planning services (using RDMO), and providing essential guidance and training to researchers on handling research data throughout its lifecycle. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to world-class scientific endeavors at GSI and the international FAIR project, one of the largest research ventures globally.
