Job Summary
This role involves ensuring the continuity and high availability of critical IT infrastructure and data within the Service and Technology Authority of the North Rhine-Westphalia Police (LZPD NRW). The IT Service Continuity Manager is responsible for defining and modeling the IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM) process, including roles and responsibilities, to guarantee minimum availability levels during critical IT incidents. Key tasks include setting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for measuring process effectiveness, generating reports, and conducting regular process audits to drive continuous improvement. Candidates must hold a relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical qualification, coupled with a minimum of three years of relevant professional experience. Required Skills
Education
Successfully completed Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Information or Communication Technology, or a comparable field. Alternative qualifications include vocational training combined with further training as an Operative Professional, Master Craftsman, or State-Certified Technician in the relevant fields.
Experience
- At least three years of relevant professional experience (required with Bachelor's degree or Operative Professional/Master Craftsman qualification)
- At least six years of relevant professional experience (alternative requirement with vocational training)
- Experience in IT Emergency Management (desirable)
- Experience with tools supporting IT Emergency Management (desirable)
Languages
Additional
- Agreement to participate in on-call duty; Willingness to undergo an extended security screening (Ü2 Sabotageschutz); Residency in Germany or an EU member state for at least five years (prerequisite for Ü2 screening).
