This role involves managing and securing the central database systems for the North Rhine-Westphalia Police at the State Office for Central Police Services (LZPD NRW). Based in Duisburg, you will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and further development of critical database management systems (DMS). Your daily tasks include ensuring stable and economical operations, conducting backup and recovery processes, monitoring system performance, and implementing IT security and data protection requirements such as GDPR. You will also provide technical support to internal departments and projects, including troubleshooting and documentation. Required Skills

Education

Experience

  • 3 years of relevant professional experience if holding a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 3 years of relevant professional experience in technical process operations if holding a Technician certification
  • 6 years of relevant professional experience if holding a vocational qualification in Information Technology
  • Experience in database operations within the public sector is preferred
  • Practical experience in problem analysis and technical support
