Job Summary

This role involves working as a Building Services Engineer within the Federal Construction division of the BLB NRW, managing and executing demanding public building projects across North Rhine-Westphalia. The successful candidate will join interdisciplinary teams, supporting or leading projects ranging from building maintenance to large-scale construction (e.g., educational facilities, military bases, specialized police buildings). Key responsibilities include planning services according to HOAI (German fee structure for architects and engineers), managing the procurement, steering, and settlement of construction services, and overseeing external consultants. Candidates must possess a degree in Building Services Engineering or a related field, knowledge of relevant German construction and legal regulations (HOAI, VOB, DIN), and strong communication skills. Required Skills

Education

Completed University Degree (Diploma/Master/Bachelor) in Building Services Engineering, Building Technology, TGA, Smart Building Engineering, or comparable engineering discipline.

Experience

  • Professional experience in Building Services Engineering/Technical Building Equipment (TGA) (ideally several years)
  • Knowledge of relevant legal and construction regulations (HOAI, VOB, DIN)
  • Experience in managing or supporting construction projects
