Job Summary

This full-time, permanent position is with the Freiburg Transport Company (Freiburger Verkehrs AG), contributing to sustainable public transport infrastructure. The role involves hands-on execution of maintenance and repair work within the company's track network and the city of Freiburg, focusing on track-adjacent civil engineering tasks. Day-to-day responsibilities include paving, asphalt work, general civil engineering, masonry, and reinforced concrete work. A crucial component of the job is operating and maintaining construction machinery (excavators, wheel loaders, etc.) used for maintenance and winter services. Candidates must possess a completed vocational qualification in civil engineering, road construction, masonry, or a related field, coupled with solid professional experience and manual dexterity. Good German language skills and a Class B driving license (with a willingness to acquire Class C) are essential, along with flexibility for occasional weekend and night shifts.
