Job Summary

The Bavarian State Criminal Police Office (BLKA) is seeking multiple IT Security Systems Engineers to join its developing Security Operations Center (SOC) in Munich. This critical role involves protecting the IT infrastructure and sensitive data of over 43,000 employees of the Bavarian Police Force against sophisticated cyber threats. Day-to-day responsibilities include the full lifecycle management—from conception to operation and continuous development—of key SOC systems, specifically focusing on Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR), Network Detection & Response (NDR), and central log platforms. You will also be responsible for implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments and testing, integrating various security tools, and performing necessary system updates and patches. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and possesses practical experience in IT security, incident response, or network security.
