Job Summary

This role is centered on advancing drug discovery projects by applying state-of-the-art computational chemistry, computer-aided drug design (CADD), and machine learning (AI) techniques, including those for new modalities and biologics. The successful candidate will develop, implement, and apply property prediction methods and AI approaches utilizing extensive chemical and biological data. Key responsibilities include applying expertise in physics-based calculations, such as quantum mechanics and molecular dynamics simulations, and contributing to the development and evaluation of computational models. The scientist must clearly present complex scientific results to interdisciplinary audiences, guide experimental planning, and contribute to strategic project decisions. Qualifications include a PhD in computational chemistry or a related field, profound expertise in a broad spectrum of CADD techniques, expert knowledge of molecular modeling software, and a solid understanding of medicinal chemistry fundamentals. The position requires independent work, excellent teamwork, and working proficiency in English to collaborate across diverse scientific teams.

Experience

  • Professional experience in computational drug design
  • Experience in an industrial setting (preferred)
  • Experience collaborating closely with medicinal chemistry, structural biology, screening, pharmacology, and pharmacokinetics teams
  • Experience mentoring and developing less experienced team members
