Job Summary

This is a permanent, full-time position focused on managing the financial aspects of national and international research projects at the Leibniz Institute for Baltic Sea Research Warnemünde (IOW). The specialist will be responsible for the complete financial processing and accounting of projects, ensuring strict adherence to funding guidelines, particularly those from public donors. Key responsibilities include preparing financial reports and statements of expenditure, handling accounts receivable/payable, managing payment transactions, and assisting with VAT pre-registration and annual tax declarations in collaboration with tax consultants. Candidates should possess a completed commercial vocational training or equivalent qualification (such as a tax assistant), be proficient in MS Office and preferably ERP software, and demonstrate a service-oriented, meticulous, and flexible work ethic. This role offers a stable position within a supportive, family-friendly research environment.

Experience
