Job Summary

This role involves creating high-quality, evidence-based content for the German Cancer Research Center's Cancer Information Service (KID), focusing on oncology topics for the public and professionals. The Medical Journalist/Online Editor will be responsible for researching, updating, and drafting online informational texts and current news articles, ensuring they are understandable and target-group-appropriate. Key tasks include managing social media channels, assisting with image and video editing, and contributing to quality management and the conceptual development of web and social media offerings. The ideal candidate holds a degree in a scientific or medical field (e.g., Human Medicine, Biology, Pharmacy) combined with training or professional experience in science or medical journalism. This is a relevant and diverse role in digital health communication, offering flexible working hours and the option for mobile work after an initial onboarding phase.
