Job Summary

This critical role involves spearheading the planning, expansion, renewal, and optimization of the medium and low voltage (MV/LV) network within Hamburg. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying measures to resolve bottlenecks and implement replacement strategies for operating equipment, ensuring the long-term stability and efficiency of the grid. A key function is conducting detailed network compatibility tests to facilitate the smooth integration of new customer systems, adhering strictly to network operator requirements. You will perform complex technical calculations, including short-circuit data, starting currents, network flicker, and voltage drops, to proactively prevent grid disturbances. Furthermore, you will develop operational concepts for connecting new network and customer facilities and collaborate across departments on electrical engineering feasibility studies for major projects. Success requires a degree in Electrical Engineering, deep practical knowledge of distribution networks, and familiarity with relevant electrical standards and norms.
