Job Summary

This role involves serving as an IT Specialist within the Data Processing (DP) team, focusing on the administration and maintenance of the specialized information system used for capturing air quality data in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW). Key responsibilities include user management, ensuring data security, and technically connecting measurement technology to the system. The specialist will actively ensure the stability of the IT infrastructure through regular data backups, server monitoring (Linux/Windows), and network configuration, while also contributing to its continuous development. Furthermore, the role requires collaborating with colleagues to advise and train departmental staff on data processing topics and actively supporting the implementation of an IT baseline protection concept (IT-Grundschutz). Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Bachelor or FH Diploma) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, Computer Sciences, or a comparable relevant field (Mandatory requirement)

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT infrastructure (advantageous)
  • Knowledge in handling modern data technology (advantageous)
  • Experience in implementing network backup strategies (advantageous)
  • Experience in creating IT baseline protection concepts (advantageous)
