Job Summary

This Research Associate position, based at the Technical University Bergakademie Freiberg, involves cutting-edge research in acoustic communication and localization of sensor particles, funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). The role focuses on modeling acoustic wave propagation, developing and implementing signal processing and localization algorithms, and setting up SDR-based acoustic communication experiments. Day-to-day tasks include data analysis, optimization, and the conception and construction of a demonstrator using real sensor particles. The successful candidate will be expected to publish their findings in journals and conferences and pursue further scientific qualification, typically a doctoral degree (PhD). Key requirements include a very good Master's degree in a relevant engineering or science field and strong interest in signal processing, acoustics, and experimental work.
