Job Summary
This role involves shaping and managing IT services for the Faculty of Medicine at Bielefeld University, acting as the critical link between the Faculty and the central IT Service Center (BITS). The Service Manager will cover the functions of Business Relationship Manager, Demand Manager, and Service Level Manager, proactively identifying IT service requirements, capturing customer needs, and coordinating the development and implementation of technical solutions with BITS departments. Key responsibilities include project leadership for solution implementation, generating service and ticket reports, and conducting regular service review meetings. Success in this position requires a strong background in IT service management, broad technical knowledge in server, network, and desktop management, excellent consulting skills, and proficiency in both German and English. Required Skills
Education
Completed relevant university degree (e.g., Business Informatics, Administrative Informatics, Computer Science, Economics) or equivalent abilities and experience (e.g., completed IT vocational training and/or professional experience).
Experience
- Minimum of two years of professional experience in a comparable activity
- Professional experience in IT service management roles (Business Relationship, Demand, or Service Level Management)
- Experience in introducing and implementing ITSM processes and roles (Desired)
- Experience in Project Management (Desired)
