Job Summary

This role is for an experienced Project Manager specializing in complex Environmental and Landscape Planning projects, often related to major infrastructure initiatives such as water management, rail, and energy transition network expansion, based in Potsdam. The successful candidate will lead tasks including the creation of Landscape Management Plans, Species Protection Assessments, Natura 2000 studies, and specialized reports concerning the Water Framework Directive and climate impacts. Day-to-day responsibilities involve drafting documentation for planning approval and environmental impact assessment procedures (EIA), coordinating internal and external project stakeholders, and advising clients on environmental and nature conservation law. This position requires a degree in Environmental or Landscape Planning, solid experience in relevant legal frameworks (UVP, species protection), and proficiency in German (C1 level), offering the chance to contribute significantly to sustainable construction and the energy transition within a large, established planning firm.

Completed university degree in Environmental and Landscape Planning or a comparable qualification

Experience

  • Professional experience in processing large-scale projects in environmental, spatial, and landscape planning
  • Established knowledge of environmental and nature conservation law (e.g., UVP, intervention regulation, species protection, Natura 2000, WRRL)
