Job Summary

This role at the Federal Office of Administration (BVA) involves contributing significantly to public safety in Germany and the EU by managing and developing complex IT applications. As a Technical Project Lead, you will oversee IT projects from requirements analysis to implementation, acting as a crucial interface between IT, departments, and external stakeholders. Alternatively, as an IT Architect, you will evolve the software architecture of a large system landscape, piloting new technologies and integrating DevOps and containerization. The position requires a proactive, responsible individual comfortable with agile methodologies and challenging IT environments. Required Skills

Education

Master's or Diploma degree in Computer Science or a related field; or a university degree in another field with relevant IT experience; or 2 years of professional experience in IT project management or IT architecture.

Experience

  • At least 1 year of proven professional experience or knowledge in IT project management or IT architecture, along with agile methods and related tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) if holding a non-IT university degree
  • At least 2 years of proven professional experience in IT project management or IT architecture with good knowledge of distributed applications and complex system landscapes with high availability requirements, preferably in a government or international environment
  • Experience in managing external service providers (beneficial)
  • Experience in team leadership (beneficial)
  • Professional experience in software development (beneficial)
