Job Summary

This Senior Manager role, situated within the central Quality department of a leading medical technology company, involves overseeing and managing technical regulations and international standards for global market access, specifically focusing on in-vivo medical devices and in-vitro diagnostics. The successful candidate will act as the central point of contact, developing the global standardization strategy, advising business units and country organizations on implementing normative and legal requirements, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities include monitoring EU regulations, actively participating in Standardization Development Organizations (SDOs) at a strategic level, representing the company in industry associations, and optimizing the internal process for managing standards in a rapidly digitizing environment. This position requires strong networking skills, strategic insight into standardization, and the ability to lead international working groups.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Natural Sciences or Technology

Experience

  • Many years of professional experience with technical standards in Regulatory Affairs, Quality Management, R&D, or Conformity Testing
  • Experience with medical or in-vitro diagnostic electrical devices and systems, and related safety standards (e.g., IEC 60601-1 or IEC 61010-1 series)
  • Proven knowledge and strategic perspective on standardization
  • Active involvement and strong network in national and international committees and industry association working groups
  • Experience in leading working groups in an international environment (ideally contributing to standardization development)
