Job Summary

This role involves serving as the Specialist Site Manager for electrical engineering projects focused on critical rail infrastructure power supply systems. The professional will be responsible for the comprehensive construction management, maintenance, and fault clearance of rail energy supply systems, including converters for long-distance rail (16.7Hz), DC substations for subways and trams, and e-mobility charging infrastructure. Day-to-day tasks include independently managing assembly and service work, coordinating external contractors, overseeing on-site execution, and ensuring system availability. The role requires meticulous technical and commercial controlling, including budget monitoring, material ordering, and active claim management. Candidates must possess an electrical engineering background, experience in power supply systems, and the willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call service, requiring significant nationwide travel across Germany.

Education

Completed vocational training in electrical engineering, preferably as an Electrician for Operational Technology, and further qualification as a Specialist Site Manager Electrical Engineering

Experience

  • Professional experience as an Electrician for Operational Technology (Betriebstechnik)
  • Several years of professional experience as a Specialist Site Manager Electrical Engineering
  • Professional experience in rail power supply, national power supply, or the industrial sector
  • Qualified Electrical Specialist (Elektrofachkraft)
  • Current switching authorization for medium/high voltage (ideally)
