Job Summary
This role involves operating, administering, and monitoring the city-wide Citrix Terminal Server farm based on Microsoft operating systems for the City of Frankfurt. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing IT systems, user profile data, and deployed applications, ensuring smooth daily operations aligned with ITIL processes. Key tasks include planning IT systems, creating and maintaining concepts and operational manuals based on BSI IT-Grundschutz, and providing 2nd level support for problem resolution. This position is vital for connecting over 15,000 people with modern technology, supporting various municipal departments, and contributing to the city's ongoing digitalization efforts within a supportive environment that offers flexible working hours and continuous professional development.
Required Skills
Education
Completed Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or completed vocational training as an IT Specialist (System Integration) or comparable completed training.
Experience
- Long-term professional experience operating central IT systems and applications
- Professional experience in IT Service Management (ITIL basic knowledge required)
- Professional experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
- Professional experience in public administration (desirable)
