Job Summary

This role is a core Mechanical Engineering position focused on the design and optimization of low voltage wire harnesses, component selection, and associated mounting systems within vehicle platforms. The engineer will drive key design decisions regarding electrical and physical integration, collaborating globally with internal teams like Infotainment, Chassis, and Manufacturing Engineering. A successful candidate will utilize strong mechanical fundamentals (thermal, vibration, durability) and hands-on experience with 3D modeling tools like Dassault CATIA and 2D drawing creation (Mentor Graphics Capital Harness). Daily tasks involve working with suppliers on Design-for-Manufacturability (DFM) to reduce complexity and cost, supporting pre-production builds (RC), and resolving design and quality issues through testing and cross-functional reviews. This position requires a proactive, hands-on approach and proficiency in project tracking tools like JIRA and Confluence.
