Job Summary

This role involves comprehensive mechanical design engineering for vehicle seating components, managing the entire product lifecycle from initial concept through to end-of-life support. The engineer will focus on dynamic, structural components like seating structures, mechanisms, foam, trim, and integrated electronics (PCBs, sensors). Day-to-day tasks include creating 3D CAD models using tools like CATIA, generating 2D drawings with GD&T, interpreting CAE results, and balancing critical product attributes such as safety, comfort, cost, and manufacturability. The ideal candidate possesses a strong foundation in mechanical engineering, expertise in soft goods and composite structures, and exceptional technical communication skills, collaborating cross-functionally with manufacturing, procurement, and quality teams to ensure seamless system integration in Berlin, Germany.
