Job Summary

This role is for a Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in Lighting and Exterior systems, joining the Vehicle Engineering team in Berlin to contribute to the design of cutting-edge automotive products. The engineer will be responsible for the detailed design, surface development, and structural integrity of exterior components, ensuring they meet targets for craftsmanship, function, cost, and weight. Key responsibilities include completing and releasing component designs using both in-house and supplier engineering resources, collaborating with cross-functional teams (including Manufacturing, Quality, and Procurement), and supporting vehicle development milestones from launch through the sustaining phase. The ideal candidate brings a background in mechanical engineering, proficiency in CATIA V5 and 3DX, and a strong understanding of modern lighting technologies and automotive manufacturing processes, thriving in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
