Job Summary

The Diocese of Speyer is seeking an engaged Climate Protection Manager to lead the development and implementation of their diocesan climate protection strategy. This two-year fixed-term project role, funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, involves creating an integrated climate protection concept, including energy and greenhouse gas balances across real estate, mobility, procurement, and IT infrastructure. Day-to-day responsibilities include project management, coordinating internal administrative tasks, organizing workshops, and developing advisory services for parishes and church institutions. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge and professional experience in climate protection, energy management, and sustainability, coupled with a relevant university degree in fields like Environmental Engineering or Architecture. This position offers the opportunity to apply specialized expertise in a values-driven environment, driving innovative projects in energy and sustainability within a large organizational structure.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (or equivalent qualification) in Environmental Engineering, Energy and Environmental Technology, Supply/Building Technology, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Environmental and Sustainability Science.
