Job Summary
This role involves operating and administering five geo-redundant data centers across Leipzig, Munich, Frankfurt am Main, and Hamburg, working closely with an experienced Datacenter team. Key responsibilities include maintaining and modifying extensive server, network, and storage systems, ensuring the smooth operation of highly available Cloud Services for various clients. The specialist will also be tasked with implementing complex customer requirements in comprehensive projects, providing holistic support throughout the project lifecycle, and offering technical consultation on complex Cloud and Hosting topics. The ideal candidate must possess relevant IT qualifications, substantial experience in network administration within a data center environment, and practical expertise in advanced networking concepts like VLANs, Routing, Firewalls, and various network protocols.
Required Skills
Education
Completed IT vocational training (e.g., IT Specialist for System Integration, System Informatics) or a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Technical Informatics, Business Informatics, Computer Science, IT Architecture, or equivalent qualification
Experience
- Relevant experience in the operation and administration of extensive network topologies, ideally in a data center environment
- Demonstrable project success in the conception and setup of corporate networks
- Practical experience in network administration (Networking, VLANs, Subnetting, Routing) and firewall administration
- Practical experience in WAN, WAN encryption, LAN, VPN, MPLS, TCP/IP, Layer-2 and Layer-3 Switching and Routing
