Job Summary

Join Dornier Suntrace in Hamburg as a Senior Engineer specializing in Measurement, Control, and Regulation (MCR) Technology for the renewables sector, focusing primarily on large-scale PV and battery storage systems. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end planning of MCR systems for photovoltaic and battery storage facilities, ensuring compliance with relevant DIN EN and IEC standards. Day-to-day tasks include creating technical specifications for procurement, developing network plans, communication diagrams, and managing signal lists. A key focus is coordinating technical processes with clients, suppliers, and grid operators from planning through commissioning. You will also develop and integrate Energy Management Systems (EMS) for complex hybrid energy systems, ensuring seamless interface with existing conventional power plants (diesel, heavy oil, gas turbines). This position requires deep expertise in SCADA and monitoring systems for solar and wind energy and active participation in feasibility studies and technical consulting projects, contributing significantly to the global energy transition.

Required Skills

Education

Completed technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, Energy Technology, or comparable field

Experience

  • Professional experience in planning Measurement, Control, and Regulation technology
  • Practical experience in projects involving PV ground-mounted systems, battery storage, and/or wind energy systems
  • Familiarity with international large-scale PV projects and local laws/regulations
  • Experience in planning and specification of SCADA, monitoring, and EMS for solar and wind power plants
