Job Summary

Join one of Germany's largest planning offices in Potsdam as an Environmental and Landscape Planner, contributing directly to the energy transition and sustainable infrastructure development. This role involves working in experienced, collaborative teams on complex environmental planning tasks for major infrastructure projects, including road, rail, energy grid expansion, and hydraulic engineering. Key responsibilities include preparing comprehensive technical documentation for official approval processes, such as Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), species protection reports, Natura 2000 assessments, and specialized climate or water framework directive reports. You will also support ecological investigations, conducting field data collection, faunistic and floristic mapping, and performing ecological construction supervision to ensure compliance with nature conservation requirements during execution. Ideal candidates possess a degree in Environmental Planning or Biology, practical experience in environmental planning, strong knowledge of relevant environmental laws, and basic proficiency in GIS tools like QGIS/ArcGIS or AutoCAD. Fluency in German (C1 minimum) and a driver's license are essential for this role, which offers flexible and family-friendly working models.
