Job Summary

This role involves taking systemic responsibility for the development and enhancement of IT-based, safety-critical systems within railway infrastructure technology, such as digital interlocking systems. The specialist will lead the specification of requirement documents (use cases/functions) for computer-based railway signaling technology supplied by vendors, ensuring alignment with operational needs and strategic system architecture. Key responsibilities include coordinating technical interfaces between subsystems, reviewing vendor specifications, defining acceptance criteria, and managing system acceptance. The specialist will also represent the company in international standardization bodies (e.g., TSI CCS, Eulynx) and provide critical system support post-commissioning, including analysis and communication with manufacturers during critical failures. Ideal candidates possess a technical degree in fields like Informatics or Electrical Engineering, familiarity with IT networks and security challenges, and preferably experience with safety-critical train control systems. Fluency in English is required for handling technical documentation and international collaboration.
