Job Summary

This role is perfect for an analytical professional looking to optimize logistics data flows and processes within a major retail company. As a Data Engineer, you will be crucial in designing, building, and managing the data infrastructure and pipelines using Azure and Databricks, providing the foundation for Data Product Teams. A key focus is the implementation of automated workflows in Azure Data Factory and connecting data pipelines to Business Intelligence systems. Day-to-day tasks involve deep-dive analyses to identify inefficiencies and cost drivers, close collaboration with Logistics Controlling to provide AI-ready data, and the construction of KPI dashboards for management. The ideal candidate brings a background in economics, computer science, or engineering, coupled with experience in BI systems and a foundational understanding of data modeling, SQL, and Python.
