Job Summary

This role involves serving as an IT Administrator within the Server Team at the Bavarian State Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BayLfV), one of Germany's largest domestic intelligence services based in Munich. The specialist will be responsible for the system administration, maintenance, and updating of virtual and physical server systems across both Windows and Linux environments. Key duties include managing central services such as Active Directory (AD), Exchange, SQL, PKI, and Antivirus, alongside handling server and application virtualization, backup/recovery, and storage solutions. A crucial component of the job is developing and operating solutions in close collaboration with internal departments and contributing to IT security concepts based on BSI IT-Grundschutz. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a comparable IT-focused field and fulfill specific German citizenship and residency requirements, making this a highly secure and responsible position dedicated to protecting democracy and fundamental rights.
