Job Summary

This role involves the administration, maintenance, and optimization of both physical and virtual server environments for the Bavarian State Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BayLfV). As a key member of the Server Team in Munich, you will manage critical infrastructure including Windows and Linux systems, Active Directory, Exchange, SQL databases, and storage solutions. Day-to-day tasks include scripting with PowerShell for automation, managing backups, and ensuring system security through BSI-compliant IT security concepts. You will collaborate closely with various departments to develop technical solutions for national security interests. This position is unique as it offers a path to civil servant status (Beamtenverhältnis) in a high-security environment, complete with specialized security allowances and comprehensive health management. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent degree; alternatively, existing civil servant status in the 3rd qualification level of the technical/science career track.
