Job Summary

The Bavarian State Office for the Protection of the Constitution is seeking an IT Specialist to join the Cyber Alliance Center for Counter-Espionage in Munich. In this role, you will be responsible for the administration of servers, middleware, and network components while integrating new data sources into threat intelligence platforms. You will analyze electronic attacks, investigate malware, and examine network traffic and log files to help create a comprehensive cybersecurity situational report. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent; or existing civil servant status in the 3rd qualification level in the field of Science and Technology.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the field of IT security
  • Experience in the technical analysis of cybersecurity incidents is preferred

Additional

  • Must hold German citizenship and have maintained primary residence in Germany for at least 10 years. Must pass an extended security clearance check (BaySÜG) for the candidate and their partner. Must meet civil service requirements (under 45 years of age). Must be able to provide all required civil service documentation if currently a civil servant.
