Job Summary

This leadership role involves managing the Central IT Services department at the South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences, overseeing personnel, and driving complex IT projects. The Head of Central IT Services will be responsible for technical administration and operation of highly complex, data-protection-sensitive products, including identity management and communication systems, while ensuring compliance with DFN-PKI guidelines. Key responsibilities also include strategic development of the department, continuous process improvement, budget planning, and procurement. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Computer Science or a related field, possesses strong knowledge of IT process automation (using tools like Ansible or Terraform), and has expertise in operating secure Linux/Windows server environments, container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes), and database systems.
