Job Summary

This role involves the independent technical and professional administration of a robust ArcGIS Enterprise environment, including managing user accounts, licenses, and system maintenance under the Esri Enterprise Agreement for the Free State of Bavaria. A significant part of the job is providing technical support to Bavarian authorities as they develop an Open Source GIS strategy, which includes contributing to the development and integration of new GIS tools. The ideal candidate must possess a relevant IT or Geomatics qualification, coupled with several years of professional experience in IT application operations, IT architecture, and platform design, particularly concerning digital technologies and collaboration platforms. Expertise in both proprietary (ArcGIS) and Open Source (QGIS, Mapserver) GIS administration is essential, along with basic scripting knowledge in Python or JavaScript, making this a crucial position supporting Bavaria's digital infrastructure.
