Job Summary

This role involves leading the development and implementation of an integrated climate protection concept for the Diocese of Speyer, focusing on achieving a sustainable and climate-friendly future. The manager will be responsible for creating energy and greenhouse gas balances across various sectors, including real estate, mobility, procurement, and IT infrastructure. Day-to-day tasks include project and process management, coordinating internal administrative tasks, organizing workshops and information events, and developing initial measures and consulting services for parishes and church institutions. The ideal candidate possesses comprehensive expertise in climate protection, energy management, and sustainability, coupled with strong project steering and communication skills. Required Skills

Education

University degree (or equivalent qualification) in Environmental Engineering, Energy and Environmental Technology, Supply or Building Technology, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Environmental and Sustainability Science

Experience

  • Comprehensive knowledge and professional experience in climate protection, energy and environmental management, and sustainability
  • Experience in public relations
  • Experience with project development and steering
  • Experience with church structures and collaboration with volunteers is advantageous
