Job Summary

This role involves leading a team within Fungicide Chemistry to invent innovative and sustainable crop protection active ingredients. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, designing, and synthesizing biologically active ingredients, analyzing their performance, intrinsic properties, and safety profiles. Leveraging structure-activity relationships and rational design, the expert will drive multiparameter optimizations, applying medicinal chemistry concepts at the interface of fungi and plants. This position requires navigating the frontiers of chemistry, modeling, biology, agronomy, product safety, and intellectual property. The role also includes leadership and EHS responsibilities for the lab team, contributing scientific expertise to projects, and mentoring colleagues, while collaborating with a broad range of internal and external experts.
