Job Summary

The Diocese of Speyer is seeking an engaged Climate Protection Manager to lead the development and implementation of their integrated climate protection concept, focusing on achieving a sustainable and climate-friendly future within diocesan structures. This role is initially a two-year fixed-term project position, funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating the diocesan climate protection concept, including energy and greenhouse gas balances across real estate, mobility, procurement, and IT infrastructure. The manager will drive the execution of initial measures, develop consulting services for parishes, and manage the overall project. Key qualifications include a university degree in relevant fields like Environmental Engineering or Sustainability Science, coupled with comprehensive professional experience in climate protection, energy management, and project steering.
