Job Summary
The German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Division of Regulatory Genomics and Cancer Evolution in Heidelberg, Germany. This experimental genomics role focuses on understanding the fundamental forces driving sex-specificity in tumorigenesis and organismal development, utilizing powerful model systems like the four-core genotype model and chemical carcinogenesis. Day-to-day tasks involve intersecting large-scale genetic analysis with spatial and single-cell sequencing technologies to study mutagenesis. The researcher will also be involved in developing computational approaches, including AI/ML, to interpret genetic and molecular changes associated with cancer inception. Key requirements include a Ph.D. in molecular or cancer biology, a strong background in experimental design, and a proven track record of scientific communication and collaborative work.
