The technician will be responsible for the continuous testing, maintenance, installation, and setup of networked and non-networked systems, including specialized equipment like crane controls and PLC systems. A core part of the job includes implementing IT security measures, managing access controls, maintaining asset and inventory lists, and creating comprehensive system and security documentation. Candidates need a background in electrical engineering or automation technology combined with broad IT expertise, strong professional experience with PLCs (like Siemens Simatic S7), and a willingness to work on-site with offline island solutions, contributing to high-security nuclear disposal operations.

Education

Completed apprenticeship as an Electronics Technician for Operational Technology, Automation Technician, or comparable electro-technical specialist training with broad IT expertise

Experience

  • Professional experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), such as Siemens Simatic S7
  • Professional experience with operational IT applications
  • Professional experience in troubleshooting, testing, and maintenance of networked and non-networked technical systems
  • Experience with network infrastructures (LAN, industrial bus systems) - Desirable
