Job Summary

This critical role supports Germany’s mission to safely store radioactive waste by ensuring the continuous operation and high security of IT-supported operational systems and networked facilities. The technician is responsible for the ongoing inspection, maintenance, installation, and setup of complex technical equipment, including crane and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems, such as Siemens Simatic S7. Key responsibilities also involve contributing to IT security implementation, managing access administration, and maintaining comprehensive system documentation and inventory lists. Successful candidates must hold completed vocational training as an Electronics Technician for Industrial Engineering or a comparable electro-technical specialization, coupled with solid professional experience in PLCs and operational IT applications. The position offers an unlimited contract, attractive compensation under the GWE tariff, and extensive support for professional development within a vital federal company.

Required Skills

Completed vocational training as an Electronics Technician for Industrial Engineering, Automation Technician, or comparable electro-technical specialist training with broad IT knowledge.

Experience
