Job Summary

This is a challenging opportunity for a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join a leading research program focused on Wnt signaling and cancer metabolism at the University Hospital Düsseldorf. The successful candidate will take a leading role in a DFG-funded project within the SFB consortium, investigating the molecular determinants driving Wnt/STOP dependency in therapy-resistant cancers, including acute leukemias and colorectal cancer. Day-to-day tasks involve designing and executing complex experiments using advanced methodologies such as organoid systems, patient-derived xenografts (PDXs), CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing, flow cytometry, and in vitro/in vivo drug screening. The role requires a PhD in a relevant life science field, strong postdoctoral expertise in molecular and cellular biology techniques, mandatory hands-on experience with animal models (FELASA B required), and demonstrated scientific independence, offering an outstanding environment to develop an independent scientific profile within an internationally visible research network.
