Job Summary

This System Engineer Backup role is critical for ensuring the digital future of Germany's defense sector by maintaining stable, secure, and efficient IT services for the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr). The position focuses on operating and modernizing one of the largest and most complex IT infrastructures in Germany. Day-to-day responsibilities include executing measures to secure operations in assigned environments, independently handling complex tasks, monitoring backup software operations, and resolving extensive fault situations. You will also be responsible for processing backup issues within Incident Management. Candidates should possess a relevant professional qualification, at least three years of professional experience, expertise in IBM Spectrum Protect (ISP), and strong knowledge of system administration (operating systems, networking). This role requires independent work within 2nd Level Support for backup environments and a high degree of teamwork, contributing directly to Germany's security.
