Job Summary

This Senior IT Architect role is pivotal in ensuring the digital future and operational capability of the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) by operating and modernizing one of Germany’s largest and most complex IT infrastructures. Day-to-day responsibilities include the continuous development and enhancement of an Enterprise Ansible automation platform, integrating cutting-edge generative AI services, such as Ansible Lightspeed with watsonx Code Assistant, and embedding robust DevSecOps pipelines into the system. The architect will manage product upgrades, drive technology transitions, and implement complex requirements for the automation platform, all while collaborating within interdisciplinary teams. Candidates must possess a degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification, coupled with at least five years of relevant professional experience. Expertise in Red Hat Ansible and cloud automation is essential. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a secure role contributing directly to national security and defense digitalization.
