Job Summary

This critical leadership role involves taking overall responsibility for the Drinking Water and Wastewater Laboratories across two locations, leading a team of approximately 20 employees both technically and disciplinarily. The Head of Department will be instrumental in addressing challenges related to climate change, environmental pollution, and increasing regulatory demands, ensuring the safety and sustainability of the region's water supply. Key responsibilities include strategic development, ensuring laboratory accreditation, overseeing proper sampling and analysis, and driving digital transformation, particularly within the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). The successful candidate will have a university degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Technology, or a related field, coupled with significant professional experience in laboratory operations, ideally within water and environmental analysis, and proven leadership skills to merge and modernize the labs into a forward-thinking environmental facility.
