Job Summary

This role involves managing and maintaining the operational integrity of the SAP application landscape for one of Germany's major water management companies, the Ruhrverband, located in Essen. The specialist will be responsible for implementing core operational processes, including Change, Patch, Update, and Lifecycle Management. Key daily activities include documenting automation and operational processes, planning and executing test scenarios, backups, system copies, and security controls within the SAP environment. The position also requires technical support for SAP certifications, installing and configuring certified hardware and software licenses, and implementing robust security measures, monitoring, and incident response. The ideal candidate has a background in IT, proven experience in data center operations, strong conceptual abilities, and excellent German communication skills (C1 level) to support internal teams and external water association collaborations.
