Job Summary
This full-time, permanent position seeks a highly qualified Technician or Master Craftsman to join the 24/7 Control Center team at the RUB. The role is critical for ensuring the operational stability of the university's technical building equipment (DIN 276; KG 400). Day-to-day responsibilities include receiving and processing all types of automated fault and alarm reports, informing relevant parties according to emergency protocols, and monitoring building management systems. You will also execute switching measures within various IT systems, maintain documentation (protocols, checklists), and assist with the use of new systems like 'Desigo CC' and 'Nova Alert'. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical knowledge across multiple trades, excellent IT and communication skills, and the willingness to work in a demanding continuous shift system (24/7). Required Skills
Education
Master Craftsman (Meister) or Technician (Techniker) certification, or comparable technical qualification.
Experience
- Successfully completed Master Craftsman or Technician training, or comparable qualification
- Long-term relevant professional experience in technical building equipment (especially 440/450)
- Professional experience in receiving fault and alarm reports in building technology (desirable)
- Several years of cross-trade technical knowledge

- Must be suitable and willing to work in a 24/7 continuous shift system (Vollkonti-Schicht); Must pass the 'Occupational Medical Fitness Examination for Driving, Controlling, and Monitoring Activities' (formerly G25).
